| September 1, 2009 | ||
| 12:00 pm | ||
Your first two days at University will inevitably be long ones. If you’re attending Orientation this year, and find you need a break afterwards, pop by the FIJI house for a BBQ. Most of the active members will be there lounging about, catching up on what’s happened through the summer, and honing their Foosball skills. Come by to 11009-89 avenue if you’re thinking about joining a fraternity, but just not sure what they’re all about.

BBQ Lunch and Head Start
| August 30, 2009 | ||
| 1:00 pm | to | 5:00 pm |
For some, the 2009/2010 academic year will be their first at the University of Alberta. Of course the Students Union is putting on Orientation for all new incoming students. But have you ever wanted to find out what university life is really like? Want to know where to get the best deals for your textbooks, which classes to avoid, or where the best place to study is? Want to know what professors are really like?
The Epsilon Alpha Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta is holding a BBQ on the Sunday before Orientation. Come out to our fraternity house located a block away from campus at 1:00 pm. We’ll have food for you, plus it’s an awesome way to learn more about what to expect from your first year of university. Furthermore, Dr. Kyle Murray, director of the School of Retail at the University of Alberta will be speaking about how to get the most out of your university experience. This guy has two doctorate degrees, and has spent his fair share of time at the university, so this is an awesome opportunity.
If you want more information, or to RSVP, send an email to Dustin Chelen.

Canada Day Celebrations
| July 1, 2009 | ||
| July 4, 2009 |
As always, Phi Gamma Delta will be celebrating Canada Day at the Fiji House. Burgers will be served both nights, with working brothers stopping off on Saturday. On Wednesday we’ll hold our traditional street hockey tournament on the street infront of the Fiji House in Garneau. Plus, on Saturday we’ve organized a Slo-Pitch game with the ladies of Delta Gamma. We’ll meet up at the house at 1:45, and make our way to the baseball diamond at Garneau School shortly after. Bring a baseball glove if you have one!
This is the main summer event where you can expect to meet the most members, so if you’re looking to rush in Fall 2009, we recommend you come out!
