Welcome to the website for the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Phi Gamma Delta!
Presidents Message
Hello,
I would like to welcome to the website for the Epsilon Alpha chapter of Phi Gamma Delta, or FIJI for short. First let me introduce myself, I am Eric, a fourth year business student who pledged the fraternity in 2008 during my first year of university. In my time with the fraternity I was given the opportunity to play in my first hockey game, help repair a kid’s camp, and learn proper etiquette for a formal dinner all while making friends that I’ll have long after I finish my degree. That is the main goal of the fraternity, to supplement your university education with skills you can’t learn in the classroom and prepare you for your life and career after University. FIJI offers a wide range of benefits for our members including free weekly meals, study nights, and intramural sports teams to make sure that you enjoy your university experience. If the FIJI experience sounds right for you, check out the Prospective Member section of the website. I strongly encourage anyone who is looking to find out more to contact me with questions ator to drop by our house.
Cheers,

Eric Hermanns

Persistence

With exams coming up, we here at Phi Gamma Delta wish the best of luck to everyone on their final examinations!
Here is a motivational and inspiring quote by brother Calvin Coolidge:
“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence.
Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent.
Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb.
Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts.
Persistence and determination are omnipotent.
The slogan Press On has solved, and will always solve the problems of the human race.“
Once again,...

Hey all!
Hopefully you all had an excellent October, and are now looking forward to November! Here at FIJI we ended October strong, and can’t wait for what November has in store for us.
On Oct 31, we participated in “Trick or Treatery” for the University of Alberta’s Campus Food Bank.
Here the us FIJI’s teamed up with the Ladies of Delta Gamma (Team DIGI) dressed up in their costumes, and walked along several routes asking houses for food donations. Not only was the event fun, but it was very successful.

Halloween Weekend!

Hey all!
So this weekend wasn’t as event filled as our last weekend, but it was just as fun.
What better way to end a week of school than with some pumpkin carving?!
Friday we had an exchange with the lovely ladies of Pi Beta Phi (Alberta-Alpha). During this exchange FIJI’s and Pi Phi’s put their creative minds to work, and carved out over 20 pumpkins. For some it was their first time ever carving a pumpkin and they wished they had done it sooner! For other more “seasoned veterans”, they used their carving “expertise” to carve out some intricate designs. ...
